[/style] Everyone around Mary had noticed the change. It wasn't a big difference, at least, Mary didn't think so, but still, people had picked up on it. They couldn't describe it. She seemed to be smiling and laughing more, if that were possible. Over the past week, she'd been going out far less at night, but also becoming even more distracted and disinterested with her course work. Hardly anyone knew what had caused Mary to become so much more carefree and aloof over this past week, and when they asked, Mary just shrugged it off. For some reason, she wanted it to be her secret, at least for a short time.
Because she was well aware of what the cause was. Since meeting a certain mechanic, Mary couldn't get him out of her head. It was ridiculous how often she thought of him, and often at the most random times, like in the middle of class, or the other day during dinner at her parents. When her brother asked why she was staring into space and smiling like an idiot at some small memory of Daniel, Mary mumbled some lame excuse, and blushed. It wasn't like her to act like this, but she found herself liking and disliking it at the same time. It was infuriating.
Thankfully, Mary had managed to exchange numbers with Daniel, and so, she didn't have to arrange a car accident or break her car in order to get back in contact with him. She'd been texting him infrequently, not wanting to seem too eager or obsessive. It was stupid to be feeling so strongly after just over a week, right? Having no one she felt like she could talk about it to, Mary was trusting her gut instinct. She just hoped it worked. Her experience with these things was incredibly limited.
But after being asked to coffee by Daniel, it seemed that she was doing the right thing. It didn't matter that it meant she had to go into work on one of the few days off she had each week. Mary was excited to see him, and she could only wish that Daniel was looking forward to seeing her too.
She arrived at the Coffee House early, giving a quick wave to her co-workers, who would no doubt be wondering why Mary was there on her day off. Then again, it was one of the more popular places to grab a coffee in town, so Mary hoped they wouldn't be too nosy about her date or the guy that should be arriving shortly. She took a seat near the back, but still in view of the door, in case Daniel wandered in without Mary seeing. Running a hand through her hair, Mary leaned forward on her elbows, ready to wait for Daniel as long as it took.

it starts in my soul and i lose all control | [atrb=border,0,true]it had taken him a lot of courage to actually ask mary out on date, and even when he had, he had done it over chat. he felt sort of stupid, doing such a thing, seeing as he usually was much more suave with the ladies. but with mary, she just did something to him that rendered him to become some sort of less primitive being that didn't know how to talk properly. obviously, he had managed to charm her enough for her to actually say yes, which of course was what he wanted. now that he had actually obtained what he wanted, he could only hope that he would be much more charming than before. so, after he had his shower and changed numerous times into a decent looking outfit, he decided to stop putting so much thought into it and just to be himself. besides, the last time she had seen him, he had grease marks all over his face and he was wearing an ugly jumpsuit. nothing could really be much worse and preyyy much everything was an improvement. obviously, as he looked himself once over again, he nodded softly and shrugged, trying to convince himself that this date wasn't as big of a deal as it actually was, in his mind.
ever since they had started talking over chat or text, daniel was having a harder and harder time trying to get her out of his head. she was invading his mind whenever he had a moment to think to himself, whenever he would go to sleep at night and whenever he would wake up in the morning. it was especially bad this particular moment, simply because he knew he was actually going to see her again. he was going to be able to talk to her and be around her, which was exciting all in it's own. he would always wonder if she was just as excited as him, which seemed silly seeing as dan figured she could do so much better than him. even though daniel had the sin of pride in his blood, he didn't feel so proud when it came down to mary wanting to be around him. he didn't know why an angel would want to waste their time with a mangey mutt, but she obviously did and that was alright by him.
walking out of his apartment, he walked into the underground parking lot and looked at his phone. shit. he was going to be a bit late, which he did not like, especially if mary ended up paying for her own drink. putting his phone in his pocket, he put on his helmet and climbed onto his chopper (a project he had been working on for a year or so before it was finally able to be ridden), prepared to head out in the direction of the coffee shop. starting it up, the loud wur of the bike started and daniel grinned to himself, loving the noise it made before he sped off.
it didn't take him that long to make it to the coffee shop and thus he was only a few minutes late. Taking off his helmet, he tucked it under his arm and jogged into the coffee shop, immediately looking around for the beautiful blond. seeing her, he smiled brightly and walked over to her, setting his helmet on the back of the chair before taking a seat and looking at her, "sorry i'm late." he stated, simply before he gave her a nervous smile, "have you got your drink yet?" he asked before he stood up and gestured towards the bar.

[/style] She had been waiting a while, probably ten minutes by Mary's reckoning, and Daniel still wasn't here. She knew she had arrived a bit earlier than she'd meant to because of her excitement, but when she checked her phone, she saw that Daniel was indeed late, even though it was only by a few minutes. Mary told herself not to worry. After their few conversations, Mary figured he wasn't the type to stand her up, or at least, he seemed nice enough not to, but even so, the thought lingered in the back of her mind. Time seemed to slow down, and Mary began to chew on her lip nervously.
Just before she began to truly panic, the loud noise of an engine outside caught her attention. Leaning over and trying to see what it was, it was hard to see past the throngs of people in the way. Giving it up, Mary ran another hand through her hair, running a hand over her face. For half a moment, she felt like texting Daniel, just to make sure he was coming, when the man himself appeared, jogging into view. Despite the fact he was late, Mary felt herself beam at him, both because of the relief she felt and that she was so happy to see him.
"Oh, it's no problem. I haven't been waiting long." The lie fell easily from Mary's lips, her eyes trained on the helmet Dan had set to rest on the chair. "No, I haven't. I was waiting for you." Flashing him a shy smile, she got to her feet, removing her jacket quickly and hanging it over the back of her chair. Making sure he was following her she joined the queue, her eyes on the menu, trying to decide what she wanted to drink, and whether or not she could get something to eat. The air of them were nearly at the front of the line when she turned to Daniel again, her expression a little sheepish. "I can't decide what I want. What are you getting?" she asked. Despite working at the coffee house, Mary never had much occasion to eat there, preferring to bring her own food in on her lunch breaks. Hopefully, Daniel's decision would help her to make her own mind up.

it starts in my soul and i lose all control | [atrb=border,0,true]now that daniel had finally made it to the coffee shop, he felt somewhat relieved. he honestly didn't know who late he was going to be and that within itself had frieghtened him. a whole bunch of scenarios started to run though his head as he thought about what could possibly happen if he was ate. what if he showed up and she had come and gone? what if he had shown up and she never showed up at all? rejection was one of his greatest fears and it was almost terror when he thought of mary rejecting him. her doing so beforehand was fine, seeing as it was over an electronic device, but to actually see that she didn't show uyp to meet him, or left because he was nly a couple of minutes late, that would really hurt bad. luckily for him, that wasn't the case, seeing as he immediately saw her when he had walked into the shop. a sigh of relief left his lips as he walked over to her, apologizing right away for his tardiness.
when he had got to his feet and asked if she had got a drink yet, he was also relieved to find that she hadn't, "good, because i'm buying." he explained flashed her a smile. he loved treating women to things and being a gentleman. even though her had tendencies to be a bit of a manwhore, if he truly cared about a woman, he would treat her to anything and everything she wanted, if his money was there, at least. as he looked up at the menu board, he could already tell what he wanted, which was a london fog. the tastest tea drink on earth. as for food, he didn't really think about it until they were almost to the counter, "well, for a drink I think I'm getting a london fog and for food, i have no idea." he explained and chuckled, "you work here, what's good?" he asked, turning to look at her with a hint of adoration in his eyes.
it had been a while since he had last seen her and she was even more beautiful than her remembered. he couldn't believe heh ad managed to get her back in the same place as him and she seemed just as excited as he was to see her, "sorry again, that I was late. i didn't realize the time until i got on the bike." he explained and shrugged, feeling bad for making a lady wait for him to show up.

[/style] At hearing Daniel was going to pay for her drink, Mary shook her head. "You don't have to..." she protested rather lamely, but it seemed he was going to be stubborn about it. Deciding they could decide on who was paying once they had ordered, Mary dropped it for the time being. Returning her eyes to the menu board as Daniel disclosed what he was ordering, Mary nodded slowly. "I've never actually had a London Fog. I think I'll try one." She began to nibble on her lip again when Daniel asked about the food. "Um, people seem to like the paninis? The porchetta, rosemary and sage one is always popular." Mary suggested with a shrug, her eyes returning to Daniel to gauge his reaction to it. "Is it weird that I've never actually eaten here?" She admitted with a laugh, shaking her head at how absurd it sounded.
At Daniel's second apology, Mary let out a light laugh. "Honestly, Dan. It's fine." she insisted, resting her hand on his arm to reassure him. Despite being a little anxious previously, now that Daniel was here, Mary truly didn't mind that he had kept her waiting a few minutes. She would have sat there all afternoon waiting if she knew he was going to show up. "Stop apologizing, okay?" A shy smile graced her face as they approached the cashier, Mary ignoring the curious gaze of one of her co-workers.
"Hey." Mary greeted her workmate in a sing song voice. "Um, two London Fogs, and, uh..." She looked to Dan again, wanting to ask him if he was okay with a panini, but losing her train of thought for a second as she met his eyes. "Um, two paninis. The porchetta and rosemary ones, please." she finished in a mumble, a little embarrassed at her blunder. She was brought out of her shyness when she realized Dan was probably about to pay for their meal. "Please let me pay half? If I do, we get a discount." It wasn't exactly true, but Mary wasn't going to let him get away with paying for their meal at her own workplace. She didn't care if it was chivalrous, or gentleman-like, Mary's conscience wasn't about to allow him to do so.

it starts in my soul and i lose all control | [atrb=border,0,true]everything was going much better than he had actually expected, seeing as he starting to think that she wouldn't even show up at all. now that they were waiting in line together, prepared to order their drinks and food together, daniel couldn't help but feel those fireworks erupting his stomach. they were actually on a date and he seemed to be doing all of the right things to impress and charm her, "naah, don't worry about it." he explained before he looked at her and smiled, "i just got paid so i got money to spare." he explained and nodded at her, feeling chivalrous for paying for her, which is what he usually did for women, though it was usually alcoholic beverages, not coffee and food. when she spoke of never having a london fog, he fake gasped, "it's only the most delicious caffinated drink." he exclaimed, jokingly before he chuckled. when she spoke of not having any of the food here, she raised an eyebrow at her, "well, i guess it depends on how long that you've been here. but yeah, that sounds good to eat." he stated before he shrugged once more.
when he apologized for being late once more, he smiled at her words and nodded, "I just hate being late for things." he explained, trying not to say the word 'sorry' again. when she placed her hand on his arm, he felt a shiver run up his spine; a jolt of electricity that made his crave touching her or running his fingers through her soft hair. he could only imagine what he skin felt like against his palsm and finger tips and it took all of his will power to bring all of that in, "i'm a pretty aologetic guy, so you'll probably be hearing it a lot lately. some people say i'm half concadian because of it." he joked before he smirked and chuckled.
when they both reached the counter and she ordered for them, he looked at her and shook his head, "nope. i'll pay for it all. don't worry about the discount." he explained and placed his hand on the small of her back for reassurance. he realized what he had done was a risky move, but he figured he may as well take a couple of risks. he then pulled out his wallet and handed the cashier a twenty. before he got his change back, he watched as the girl gave him a discount anyways and he flashed her a smile, "thanks." he stated, simply before she gave him his change back and simply nodded before flashing mary a cheeky smile. a smile that seemed to say 'he is too cute for words'. it was then that he walked over to the opposite side of the bar where the drinks would be served, waiting for mary when he got there, "so, how long have you worked here?" he asked, smiling at her.

[/style] Mary let out a laugh at Daniel's mock surprise, pushing him gently. "Guess I will have to have one then." she said of the drink, nodding her head when Daniel said the panini sound good. "Great. I hope they're as good as people say..." She added as an afterthought, unable to keep herself from smiling at Daniel once more.
Mary nodded understandingly when Daniel admitted he hated being late for things. In high school, she had been the same. Perfectly punctual Mary always on time for everything. These days, however, being on time was a rare occasion, let alone arriving early. The fact that Daniel hadn't been the one waiting for her was something of a miracle. Letting out a short laugh, and rolling her eyes a little at Daniel's joke about being half Canadian. "Maybe you are." she teased him gently, before becoming more serious. "But it's okay. There's really no need to be sorry. You're here now, right?"
Mary was reaching for her wallet when Daniel insisted on paying. "If you're sure." she breathed, flashing her co worker a grateful smile when she rang up the discounted price. Realizing Daniel's hand had come to rest on her lower back, Mary's stomach leaped. It was only a brief contact, but it affected Mary enormously. Her skin seemed to tingle pleasantly, long after Dan had removed his hand from her back and she followed him around to the other side of the counter. It took a moment for her to answer Daniel's question, dazed as she was. "Oh, um," she tried to think about when she did actually start work at the coffee house, but was unable to pinpoint an exact date. "I think it was about November last year. I had moved into the dorms in September, and instead of living off my parents, I wanted a real job." She admitted with a shrug. "I never eat here, though. It feels a little weird, considering I work here, you know? I usually go across the street, or try to make my own food." She let out a laugh at her own nerves, causing her to talk a mile a minute about nothing in particular. "Sorry, I'm rambling. How long have you been at the shop?" By that time, their drinks had been handed to them, and Mary was waiting for him to lead the way back to their table.

it starts in my soul and i lose all control | [atrb=border,0,true]"you won't be disappointed, i swear." he explained before he smiled at her with a hint of reassurance. of course, he had no idea whether or not she would be disappointed in the choice of drink she had picked, but he could only hope that he didn't let her down. of course, he loved london fogs and almost everyone he offered them to seemed to enjoy them as well, but he never knew for sure, especially someone of whom he had just met, like mary, "I mean, pretty much everyone i have ever converted is now a devoted supporter, so..." he joked before he chuckled. he was hoping he wasn't giving off a douche vibe, he knew that sometimes his pride could get in the way of things when it came to manners and keeping his bog mouth shut, but he couldn't help himself. it was literally in his blood.
as they walked over to the counter and he had asked her about her working here, he listened and nodded, finding her ramblings completely adorable. when she, herself, noticed them, he gave her a genuine smile and shrugged, "don't worry about it. it's cute." he replied before he nodded, "[color538f53]but yeah, that does make sense. i mean, plus, if you ate here all of the time, you could get really sick of it, really fast. |
[/color]" he explained before he smirked, " and good on you for making your own food. i never do, which is probably why i'm not as fit as i could be." he admitted and shruggedm chuckling, " oh well, food is too damn good to pass up, anyways." he added before he thought about how long he had been working at the shop he was in, now. " well, i've been in several shops over the years. but this one? mmm, probably ten years? maybe a bit more?" he stated and nodded, " but i've been a mechanic for probably over thirty years now." he explained, hoping there were no humans in the shop at the moment. luckily, it seemed likely that there weren't ," however, i've always been into mechanics. even since i was a young pup. it was my uncle that taught me everything." he added just as the drinks had been ordered up. thanking the barista, he grabbed both of their drinks and handed one to mary, " time to see if i lead you astray, or not." he joked before he chuckled and took a sip of his tea. when he saw her take a sip, he tried to read her face, " so...what do you think?" [/style] At hearing Daniel thought her rambling was cute, Mary's cheeks reddened significantly, though instead of turning away, she beamed at Daniel once more. "That's true." she said of getting sick of the food if she ate it all the time, knowing it was a possibility. Mary loved her food, but eating the same thing every day was boring. "I said I try to make my own food. It doesn't always go as planned though. I usually just chuck vegetables into a container and call it a salad." Mary shrugged, and then let out another laugh. "Please, I don't think you could get much fitter. And I agree. I don't think I could ever give up food." Even if it was something as small as a love of food, Mary was pleased to find she had something else in common with Daniel. She still couldn't quite believe how well things were going.
She listened to him talk about the shop and how long he'd been a mechanic for. It was odd to hear him speak about such a great length of time, and Mary was reminded that he was older than her by about sixty odd years. It wasn't a big deal, or at least Mary didn't think so, but considering he looked barely a few years older than her, it was something she had to get used to. "Well, you obviously enjoy it, then." Mary answered, unable to keep from smiling at Daniel's use of the word pup. She wished that she'd find something to do with her life, but she understood that it would take time. Not everybody found their calling so early in life, like Daniel had.
She was mulling this over when their drinks were brought over. Grinning her thanks at the barista, Mary laughed at Daniel's comment before taking a sip of the drink. To her surprise, it tasted really nice. The slightly unusual taste of earl grey tea, with a dash of vanilla and milk. "Oh my gosh." she sighed, pressing her lips together and smacking them gently. "This is incredible. I can't believe I've never had one before." Eager for another taste, Mary took another sip. She hummed again gently, amazed that she'd never thought to try one. "Thank you, by the way." she said to Daniel, ever grateful. "For paying and for introducing me to this." She gestured to the drink, still unable to believe how much she liked the taste.

it starts in my soul and i lose all control | [atrb=border,0,true]with his eyes on her, he could se the flush in her cheeks and that only caused his smile ot broaden. god, she was just so perfect, as far as he knew. everything she was doing was just making him feel hopeless, something he hadn't felt since his last serious girlfriend. the thought of it almost scared him, but he kept his mind focused; mary wasn't his ex and this was just their first date! he couldn't let himself get too far ahead of himself, or else he might scare her off. at her explanation about trying to make a lunch, he smirked, "that's better than what i do. and at least you try." he explained and chuckled, knowing that the most he did for lunch was a coffee and maybe a bagle from a coffee shop. whenm she explained that he couldn't get any fitter, he raised an eyebrow at her, "you obviously don't know how big us wolves can actually get." he stated, somewhat flattered that she found him fit. of course, he felt the same about her, finding her body to be immaculate in every way, even if he hadn't got the chance to see beneath her clothes, "but thanks for the compliment, anyways." he joked before he leaned onthe counter.
as he started to talk about his job and how much he enjoyed it, he really realized that he could never do anything but what he was doing now. the love he had for the sound of a perfect, powerful engine, the smell of oil and the feel of the wind in his hair as he drove down the road at full speed, it was irreplacable. there was no way he would ever be able to give up his cars or his motorcycle, not in a million years, "I really do." he admitted before he nodded, "i realize how lucky i am to have found something i love so much. not a whole lot of people have that." he stated and smiled at her, "I'm sure you'll find something you love to do." he added before the drinks were then placed in front of them.
he waited in anticipation as mary took a sip of the drink, he reaction just what he had been hoping for. her words of disbelief only reassured him that he enjoyed the drink that he had suggested to her, "so, i didn't let you down?" he questioned, but before he could get an answer, the barista walked over, handing them their paninis. thanking the barista once again, he headed towards their table, handing mary's panini to her before he smiled genuinely towards her, "seriously, don't worry about it." he explained before he set his drink down on the table they had taken before, "a girl like you deserves to be pampered." he explained before he pulled out her seat for her, "as well as being introduced to delicious beverages." he added before she took her seat. once she had, he walked over to his seat and sat down, immediately unwrapping the panini, "holy hell, i'm starved." he admitted before he took a bite into the sandwhich. a moment later, he let out a groan of relief, enjoying the taste of the sandwhich in his hands.

[/style] "You obviously don't know how big us wolves can actually get."
Mary shook her head. "No, I guess not." she admitted with a shrug. Not having come across many supernaturals (at least that she was aware of), Mary honestly had no clue. Her childhood had been rather sheltered, so, even growing up in Lillehammer, she hadn't had much experience with other species. This was partly why she was so excited about her recent acquaintance with Daniel. Not only was he stirring up feelings inside her Mary had no clue she even possessed, Mary was also learning more about werewolves and just life in general. It was more than enough to sate her neverending curiosity. She let out a short laugh at Dan's thanks, giving him a genuine smile. "No problem." she replied cheerily, though her cheeks slowly began to redden once more.
Mary nodded again as Daniel confessed he knew how lucky he was to be doing what he loved. "Well, I hope so." Mary responded with a shrug to Daniel's statement that he was sure that she would find something she could do. "The way I'm thinking is that at the moment, I have so much time ahead of me to decide, why rush it?" This was Mary's solution to most things these days. Slowly, but surely, she was becoming something of a procrastinator when it came to anything that would have a serious impact on her future. Why else would she be putting off the decision to decide on a major, or to even start thinking about what she could do for a living once she was done with college? It was comforting to think that not everyone walked into their first real job knowing they were going to do it for the rest of their lives. Cases like Daniel's were the exception, not the rule. Or so Mary hoped.
"Of course not." Mary answered Daniel's question, then turned to smile once more at the barista who brought over their food, saying thanks once more. Taking the panini from Daniel's outstretched hand, Mary followed him back to their table. She was blushing again at Daniel's statement, and it took her a moment to realize he was holding her seat out for her to sit down. "Oh, thank you." she said quietly, taking her seat, unable to make eye contact with him for fear of blushing even more. At his next comment, though, Mary found herself laughing, her momentary shyness long gone. "Mm, me too." Mary said in agreement, unwrapping her own panini. She let Daniel take the first bite, letting out yet another laugh at his reaction. "I'm assuming it's good, then?" she teased lightly before biting into her own. She chewed slowly, savoring the taste, before swallowing. "Oh, wow." she finally said after carefully making sure no food was stuck in her teeth. "I really should start eating here more often."

it starts in my soul and i lose all control | [atrb=border,0,true]when he heard he response to his explanation as to how big certain people wolves could get, he smiled at her softly, "i would say you should see my older brother, but i'm actually bigger than him." he explained and chuckled, shrugging softly before he ran a hand through his hair and gave her a slightly suspicious look, "have you ever hung out with anyone other than an angel before?" he asked, somewhat curious. it seemed as though she was much more sheltered than daniel had first thought, which somewhat scared him. if that were the case, he could only assume that her parents wouldn't be too accepting of him, if they ever got serious. in fact, after that slight conversation with her father over chat, daniel was certain that her family wouldn't approve. but, he would only have to wait and see. they were only on their first date, for christ sakes. he was getting far too ahead of himself, something that he never usually did and thus frightened him a little bit. he needed to slow down or else he could possibly get hurt again, and he definitely didn't want that.
when the conversation turned to their career paths, daniel was highly interested in what mary was thinking about doing with her life. she seemed to be a free spirit but she also seemed very academically smart, which was something that daniel always seemed to lack in. school was never really the place for him and he had pretty much just scraped by when he graduated, "that's a good way of looking at it." he started before he nodded in agreement and continued, "i mean, if you think about it, you have all eternity. why think if one thing to do for the rest of your life, now?" he asked, shrugging before they walked over to the table, so they would be more comfortable. or at least daniel would be, anyways.
taking a seat, after pulling hers out for her, he couldn't tait to sink his teeth into the panini that he had purchased. with his ultra-sensitive nose, he could smell the deliciousness before he had unwrapped it and it was absolutely mouth watering. when he finally managed to have a bite, he couldn't help but let out that groan; for one, he was starving and for two it was delicious. he had always loved coming to this coffee shop, rather than starbucks, simply because of the fact that he could tell that the sandwiches and coffee were made by hand, not prepackaged and processed, "it's really good." he explained before he watched her take a bite. her expression made him smile brightly, seeing as it was quite adorable, in his opinion. before he nodded, "you should. these don't seem like they're all that bad for you, either." he added before putting the sandwich down and taking a sip of his coffee, "so, mary..." he started before he smiled at her once more, "i really hope you aren't afraid of motorcycles, because i was hoping to take you on a ride." he stated, his smile turning into a cheeky smirk.

[/style] Mary could barely suppress a smile at Daniel's comment about his brother. He didn't come up much in conversation, so she could only assume they didn't keep in touch, or he lived far away. On the other hand, Mary seemed to talk about her brothers all the time. Or at least, she felt like it. In contrast to Daniel, who hardly ever mentioned his family, Mary's was still a big part of her life. She caught his suspicious look, immediately responding with a curious glance of her own until he spoke. "Oh, um," Mary hesitated, her cheeks flushing red. "No, not really. Not until college, anyway." Shrugging, she tried to pass it off like it was no big deal, despite the fact that it was a little odd.
Mary was glad to hear Daniel agreed with her, even breathing a quiet sigh of relief. Reassurance that she was doing the right thing was what she needed, rather than someone jumping down her throat about her future, which she was grateful to Daniel for. "Exactly!" she responded, a little too loudly. But it made her happy to know he understood. So happy, that she didn't even notice the glances her outburst had directed in the pair's direction. "And knowing me, I'd probably get a bit bored if I was stuck doing one thing for the rest of my life." It was a thought she often had, and Mary knew it was true. Ideally, she wanted a job that was different each and every day to keep her overactive brain interested and working nonstop.
"So I didn't let you down, then?" Mary asked with a laugh, echoing Daniel's words about the London Fog. "Mm, I'll definitely have to start eating at work." Mary decided with a nod after her second bite. Already she knew the panini would be her new favorite food. If she wasn't such a lousy cook, she'd probably have a go at making it herself.
Daniel's "So, Mary..." immediately took her attention from her food and back to the handsome werewolf in front of her. As she listened to his suggestion, her eyes widened in a combination of disbelief and amazement. She stared at him for a moment or two. before shaking her head and returning his smirk with a smile. "Sure, it sounds like fun." She'd never been on a motorcycle before, though she was sure one of her brothers had owned one at one point or another. "Um, you do have a spare helmet, right?" Mary asked, her voice lowered. She hated to be a stickler for safety, but although she was excited about riding a motorcycle, the idea also filled her with anxiety.

it starts in my soul and i lose all control | [atrb=border,0,true]the fact that she had been so sheltered from other species before college had really shocked daniel, to say the least. he had been exposed to every sort of species and he felt as though that had defined him as a person. he wasn't going to judge mary on the fact that she hadn't really met any other species, but that didn't mean it wasn't going to shock him, "wow. so, i guess college was very refreshing for you." he replied before he flashed her a soft smile. he could only imagine what life would have been like if he had been restricted to only being friends with wolves. not a good combination. honestly, daniel wasn't really a fan of his own kind. he found them to ruthless and, at times, rather disgusting. a lot of them didn't bathe often and with the rising underground sport of wolf fighting, daniel didn't even know why there was a sin of pride in the first place. it was almost like the wolf species had been defeated and had no dignity and he felt like he was the only one left with any sense of self worth, even when he was in the presence of an angel.
with her exclamation, daniel chuckled softly, realizing that he understood when most didn't. it much have been nice for her to find someone who actually understands what she was thinking and daniel was glad that the person was him. nodding softly, he took another sip of his drink and, after he swallowed, he spoke, "Some people just can't settle for one things, they like to change it up. and that's never a bad thing. |
[/color]" he explained to her, wanting her to feel comfortable with him. When she had asked if she had let him down, he shook his head, " not at all, this is really good." he explained before taking another bite. it tasted so good, but he knew he couldn't just scarf it down; he was in front of a lady, afterall. The question about the motorcycle had honestly been on his mind since he walked into the door. he knew that some girls found his motorcycle to be extremely sexy, whereas a few women thought of it as nothing but a death trap. honestly, daniel had been driving a motorcycle for over fifty years, so he knew how to operate one and keep his passengers, as well as himself, safe. hearing her words, a large smile formed on his lips, he loved taking girls out for a ride on his motorcycle; mostly because of the fact that they needed to hold onto him to stay on. the moment she asked about the spare helmet, he bit on his lower lip, " mmm, not exactly. you can wear mine and i'll go without." he explained before he shrugged, " i've done it many times. it's not big deal. besides, i'm a wolf, if i fall off, what are the chances of me dying?" he asked before he grinned at her.[/div][/center] [/td][/tr][/table][/center] 515 . mary . outfit [style=font-size: 10px; font-family: arial;]HEEHEE.
