"okay, so, like i was saying out there, you're gonna have to treat this really seriously; washing your mouth out with mouthwash after everything you eat or drink, cleaning the jewlery and your tongue, and overall just making sure that there's no-" dominick cut himself short when his eyes came in contact with alysha, and how she had her nose buried in her cell phone. his eyebrows shot up to his hairline and he stood there, tongue holder in hand, completely appalled that she wasn't even listening to him at all. "hey!" he snapped his free hand in her face to earn her attention. "you're not getting your tongue pierced. you're not listening to the directions that you need to take care of it, so i'll do your lip instead if you still want one. but i'm not getting your mom and dad, who're really gracious to be taking their teenager into a place like this to begin with and covering the cost, mad at me because you get an infected tongue." alysha just kind of looked at him bewildered before nodding her head slightly, straightening in the leader-covered chair. with a sigh, dominick put the tongue stud away and pulled out a horseshoe for her lip. cleaning that, he started to re-explain to her what she'd need to do since he actually had her attention this time, and then went about figuring out where she wanted to place it. after the initial piercing was completed, he let her go back out into the main room with her parents while he cleaned up quickly. joining them back behind the counter, he ran through the information again about cleaning and washing with mouthwash, making sure that her parents heard it as well, before he went on to the price. "oh, by the way," dom spoke to catch the father's attention before he left to join his wife and daughter in the car outside. "i normally don't get involved in my customer's business, but i just wanted to let you know that she wasn't grateful for this at all. the second you guys were out of earshot, it was nothing but calling her mom stupid and retarded." her father's eyes widened in surprise, slowly turning to anger. dominick just nodded his head in agreence. "i just thought you'd like to know." he thanked dominick, mentioning something about dealing that once they got home, and all dom could do was smile to himself. following the man with his eyes out the door, he slowly came aware of someone sitting in his waiting room. leaning over the counter to see them better, he offered a charismatic smile, waving them over. "hey, sorry about that, brats. what're you in for?" |
