[/style] Coming home after a long day at work was probably the most appealing part of their day to the majority of people. They spent their entire day, waiting for the clock to hit three, or five, just so they could shut down their computers, take off that apron, or pack their bags, just to get in the car to make their way home. There they could finally relax and spend the rest of their evening doing whatever it was they wanted to, rather than being bossed around by somebody else.
Unfortunately for Linnéa, she was not part of this majority. Work was where her heart was during the day, and she hated leaving the clinic at five o'clock. Since becoming a nurse over a century ago, Lin knew she was meant to work in the medical field. Her intelligence, coupled with her unwavering compassion for her patients, made her ideally suited for it. Just before her thirty eighth birthday, Lin had made the decision to become a pediatrician, knowing that working with children was her calling. She adored seeing them smile, helping them in any way she could, and forming genuine connections with them. She was renowned for being one of the best pediatricians in this part of Norway, and some of her patients even came from the neighboring larger cities to see Dr Bergström. Linnéa's office was a testament to her work; it was full of children's drawings, all saying thank you. Every time she received one, Linnéa had found room for it, hanging them around the room until the walls were almost completely covered. The fact that she had a hospital pass and was able to access the blood bank with no questions asked was just a bonus for the vampiress.
Still, it wasn't possible for her to work through the night, so at the end of every day, Lin had to make her way home after locking everything up. Luckily for her, it never took her all that long to get from work to home, and in almost no time at all, she was unlocking the front door and stepping inside the house. Being used to the laughing and shrieking of children as they teared around the clinic, it was incredibly quiet in comparison. Dumping her things by the door, Linnéa made her way into the sitting room, collapsing onto the couch rather unceremoniously with a heavy sigh. She couldn't deny that she felt tired, but it was barely dark yet, and there wasn't much point heading up to bed now.
Still slouching on the couch, Linnéa's eyes wandered over to the easel she had set up by the window. On it was unfinished painting of the view outside, something she really wanted to get done all of a sudden. Rising slowly to her feet, she made her way over to it, sat down, prepared her paints and continued where she had left off the other day.
Painting was a hobby that Linnéa had picked up over time, since, once she was turned, she felt she need a decent activity to help time pass by. She had turned out to be quite artistic once given a pen or some paints, so artistic pursuits had been her hobby of choice. She loved how she could focus on a piece of art entirely, until everything else melted away, and nothing else seemed to matter. She could sit for hours upon hours without getting bored of painting, so that was exactly what Linnéa planned to do with herself that evening.
(( shitty post, but it will get better. >> ))

i will never find a way to heal my soul | [atrb=border,0,true]the night before had been long and tiring; he had to break up two fights and all because the bastards didn't understand the point of a strip club. the point was that the woman's affection was fake, but they made you feel good for a period of time, while they pretended to make you feel as though you had a chance iwth them. unfortunately, the assholes thought that the other was his prized girl's favourite. truth was, the girl didn't have any favourites, and when she did, they usually ended up dead in a ditch some time later. if anything, those men should have counted themselves lucky by axel just throwing them out, rather than throwing them to his girls, who would gladly take anything they gave him. either way, no one would miss them, seeing as the men were regulars and had been fairly annoying to many of the girls, getting a bit too personal with girls who just didn't want it at all. sure, there were some girls who liked to men to the vip lounge and make a few extra dollars, but with these men, none of the girls wanted any of it. as much as axel didn't act like it all that much, he was very protective of his girls and would protect them, if need be. besides, they were the reason he made money.
when the night was finally over and he had come home to victoria's house, he was bombarded by her and her lack of clothing. needless to say, the night had been long and he didn't manage to get any sleep until the early hours of the morning, and even then it was restless. lately, axel hadn't managing to get well rested and it was starting to take a toll on him, for once in a very long time, all he wanted to do was nothing, absolutely nothing. well, needless to say, he couldn't 'do nothing' with victoria, and his other wife, well, they weren't even married really. well, they were, but he wasn't nearly in love with her, just heavily attracted to her and just simply there to say that he managed to snatch a sin for a wife. that left linnea, a woman of whom could only described as the total opposite of the creature that axel had turned her. she was someone of whom he never thought that he would fall for, but he had and she was the only who had managed to completely tame him. with just a gentle touch or a soft kiss, she was able to melt him and made him succumb to her every will. with victoria, they butted heads and shared views on the more dark side of things; she brought out the worst in him and he loved her for that, but at times he just wanted to hide away from the world and he could only do that with lin.
after waking up in the very late afternoon, he found himself climbing out of bed. he was able to take his time, if only because of the fact that he didn't have to worry about going to work tonight. victoria was taking over that duty tonight. having a shower, he washed himself as well as he could before getting out and dressing. before he knew it, he was ready to head out and see one of the two women of whom he loved and one of the three that he called his wife. putting on a beanie, he walked out of his house and immediately pulled out a cigarette. putting it between his lips, he lit it with ease. he had learned that linnea was iffy about smoking, so he always managed to get one in before seeing her. drawing in a long drag, he let it out slowly before butting the cigarette back between his lips and climbed into the car.
mere minutes went by before the cigarette was done and he was outside of linnea's house. he figured she would be in around now, seeing as he schedule stayed constant, wit ha few variations here and there, depending on the student. throwing the button the ground and stepping on it, he got out of the car and made his way towards the house. grabbing his key, he unlocked the door and walked in, closing it behind him as he threw off his shoes. he was excited to be in this house, if only because he knew what it meant. he didn't bother calling out her name, if only because he figured she would have heard him closing the door.
making his way through the house, he searched for her, knowing he would only find relief the moment he laid eyes on her. finally, he walked into the sitting room and found her in front of her easel, working on some masterpiece, he could only expect. sauntering up behind her, he gently pushed some of her luscious blonde hair over to one shoulder before leaning down, taking a long inhale of her scent and pressing soft kisses to the spot where he had just removed the hair from, "Mmm, you still smell so good..." he breathed through the kisses. he trailed the kisses up to behind her ear as he wrapped his arms around her waist. stopping at her ear, he rested his chin on her shoulder, looking at what she was painting, "you have talented fingers, my love." he explained and smirked, giving her a soft squeeze.

[/style] Linnéa didn't know how long she had been sitting there painting when a noise distracted her. It wasn't loud, just odd, but when she stopped to listen for similar noises, there was silence. Passing it off as just the house creaking, or something along those lines, Lin turned back to her easel, quickly becoming absorbed once more in her painting. As such, she didn't notice Axel approaching until her hair was lifted from her neck and his lips were pressed to her neck.
Half in surprise, and half in delight at hearing his voice, Linnéa closed her eyes, her lips parting in a contented sigh. Was it odd that, after all these years, her stomach still flipped when Axel spoke? She chuckled lightly at his first comment, resting her hands on his arms as they wrapped around her waist. At Axel's compliment, however, she shook her head, not exactly agreeing with him. At least, with this painting, anyway. It was supposed to be the sun setting over the town, but something was off. "Not quite." she protested modestly, tilting her head slightly to get a better look at her painting, not able to figure out what it was she didn't like about it. "I didn't do these houses very well..." Linnéa half explained, half guessed. It wasn't exactly the problem with it, but it sated Lin for now, and gave her something to work on next time she was able to paint.
Instead of returning to her work, she turned to her husband, loosening his grip around her waist, and looking at him. "How was your day?" she asked simply, before her eyebrows furrowed in concern. "You look tired, darling." She couldn't keep the maternal tone out of her voice, but then again, Linnéa wasn't exactly trying to. She knew Axel was old, far, far older than her, and she couldn't help but be a little concerned for him every now and then. Of course, he could look after himself, but it was in Linnéa's very nature to worry about the ones she loved. "You don't have to go back to work, do you?" Linnéa wasn't exactly a big fan of the gentleman's club her husband ran, but as the ever dutiful wife, she felt like she should support it in some way. Even if that way was only asking about it every now and then, and monitoring it from afar. After all, she wouldn't want to interfere.
(( ugh, this is a bit short. sorry! <3 ))

i will never find a way to heal my soul | [atrb=border,0,true]even though axel knew he was getting older, it didn't even begin to stop him from doing the things he had done when he was younger. a half a century ago, he was raping a pilaging, taking no prisoners and he still did that, just more subtly. his club was swarming with woman of whom he could, and would, make his next victim. they were young, sweet and stupid, obviously not really calling on anyone that truly cared for them. most of the time, he would indulge in the sweet taste of human flesh, but if there was a supernatural girl that he tended to have a fancy for, he wouldn't waste any time using her as well. it was rare that axel went after men, unless they smelled as though they were to die for. it wasn't in any way sexual, he was just starved and, if he were to ever see a big guy, he knew he would be set for at least a week after a feeding like that. however, now that he was getting older, he realized he was needing to feed more often to keep his stamina up, which scared him, but only every once in a while. he knew eventually he wouldn't be able to keep it up anymore and that was when he would start ot deteriorate.
those thoughts hardly ever entered his mind, especially when he was in the presence of any of his wives, especially linnea. she knew how to make him feel young again, if only because the feelings he had for her were so new and fresh. as he pressed his lips to her neck, he remembered the day that she had agreed to change for him. he never thought she would agree to it, but when she had, he couldn't deny that he was completely overjoyed. he didn't know what he would do if she had said no a second time. he would still want to be with her, even if she stayed human, but he didn't think he would be able to watch her grow old as he stayed the same, it just didn't seem right to him. he knew now that he would never have to see such a sight and he was glad of it. he loved linnea in some way that he really couldn't explain, in some ways he hated it, simply because she made him feel so vulnerable. he had never been fond of feeling vulnerable, which is why the women he usually stuck to were like victoria, strong and independant. cold and almost heartless. linnea was the complete opposite; kind and compassionate, warm and full of spirit. he would usually call her weak, but he had found those attributes stunning on her, for some odd reason.
when she had turned around to face him, he ran his hands up to cup her cheeks, resisting the urge to shut her up with a kiss. it wasn't that he didn't mind hearing her talk, he had just been missing her (as odd as that sounded). as much as axel hated to admit it, he loved his downtime with linnea, he also loved not having to put up the terrifying front. of course, the only person who would ever see him without it would be lin, "i am tried. victoria had me up all night looking at girls..." he grumbled, leaving it that if only because he knew lin didn't exactly like hearing about the other two wives, let alone the strippers at the club. when she asked if he had to go back to work, he shook his head and gave her a genuine smile, "nein. it's just you and me tonight..." he explained, as he took her hand and pulled her up. once she was on her feet, axel leaned his head down and captured her lips in a deep, passionate kiss that expressed just how badly he had missed being alone with her.

[/style] To this day, Linnéa did not know what had made her choose the life she had. Being a vampire was against everything she had learned growing up. She was sure it was the allure of greatly lengthened life that had pulled her in, as well as the fact she cared so greatly for the man who was offering it to her. Despite having been quite disgusted with him on their parting almost a hundred years ago, upon their remeeting, Axel was truly charming. And although he was offering her what could be called an alternative lifestyle, Linnéa had agreed to it. What was becoming a monster in return for spending her life with the man she loved, anyway?
And it was true. She loved Axel, though she kept that to herself, more often than not. It wouldn't go down well with the other wives to hear her gush about it, and Lin had never been one to declare her love from the rooftops. Her mouth formed a small 'o' as she listened to Axel's explanation of why he was tired, running a hand through his hair gently. Returning his smile, Lin kissed him back with vigor, her arms wrapping around him and pulling herself tight against him. Slowly, she pulled away from him, though her arms still held him to her. "Perfect." she breathed, more to herself than to Axel. She was glad to hear he wasn't going back to work. Lin thought he pushed himself too hard sometimes, but considering he'd been doing that long before he met her, Linnéa hardly ever questioned it.
"Stay still." she told him gently, unwrapping her hands to place them on either side of Axel's head. Slowly, she applied pressure to his temples and various other parts of his face, attempting to relieve the tension Axel must be feeling. It was an Indian Head massage, something she had picked up at medical school from a friend who had long passed away now. The thought made her sad, but while she mused over it, her deft fingers continued to work, finding certain pressure points and working away at them until she could feel the tension giving way. By the time she got to Axel's shoulders, Linnéa could feel the knotted muscles, and she got to work trying to work them out, circling around behind him to do so. Once they were as loose as she could get them, Linnéa wrapped her arms around Axel from behind, leaning up to his ear to whisper. "There. Feel better?" She wasn't sure if it would help a lot, or even at all, but it was worth a shot. She hated to see Axel stressed.
(( sorry this isn't very good! still, i love them <3 ))

i will never find a way to heal my soul | [atrb=border,0,true]very wife that axel had made him hapy, each in their own individual way. with victoria, he was able to be the monster that always dwelled inside of him. he was able to be release it and wreak havoc without feeling judged her horrifying. she had the same monster within her and that was why he loved her so dearly; they understood each other. savanna was a different matter, he never had truly loved her but he knew that he had some infatuation towards her. she had given him happiness through sex and pride, simply because he was able to call the sin of lust one of his wives. sure, it was selfish, but that was just the way that axel thought, and it wasn't as though savanna herself was complaining. last, but certainly not least ,there was linnea. god, how he loved this woman. he didn't know what sort of hold she had on him, but it was enough to make him sick at times. a woman with a kind heart was something that axel never thought he would go for, but she had managed to steal his soul and wrap it around her little finger. he was vulnerable around him, something that he needed every once in a while, and he felt safe knowing that linnea knew that side of him, and only that side. he knew that she would never take advantage of his vulnerability.
after their kiss ended, he heard her whisper and couldn't help but smirk at her, "mmm, you call that perfection? wait until i take you upstairs, my love..." he murmured before he started to trail kisses down her neck. he stoppedat the spot where he had bitten her so many years again and kissed it softly before blowing on it, knowing that it was extra sensitive, "you're still just as beautiful as you were, then..." he murmured before he felt her lift his head. her massage felt too good and he immediately stopped talking. linnea had always known what to do with her hands when it came to axel. she could make him feel so good to the point where he almost wanted to burst. letting out a soft groan, he closed his eyes and just let her did her thing until she finished. opening his eyes, he looked down at her before nodding, "mhm, much..." he replied before he flashed her a genuine smile. with one swift motion, he lifted her up bridal style and started to carry her up towards the bedroom, "now, it's my turn to make you feel as good." he explained.
once they had reached the bedroom, he lay her down onto the bed before he climbed on top of her. immediately, his lips found hers in a deep and passionate kiss. it had been too long since he had been able to be with linnea, alone, so he was going to make the best of it while he had the chance.
